The projection at the back of a shoe is called a heel. It is the part just below the wearer’s heel bone. The balance of the shoes is mainly improved by the use of the shoe heel. Heels are at times also used for decorative purposes. The high heel is a common feature in a certain type of shoe which is extremely popular today. High heeled shoes are mostly worn by women, but at times by men too.
The journey of the high heels began long back. It is not a modern invention. They have had a history which is very different. It is a controversy as to when the high heels came into existence. But, it is widely agreed that heels have been worn by both men and women all over the world for various purposes and reasons.
The use of high heeled shoes has been depicted in the ancient Egyptian murals which can be seen on the tombs and in their temples. The earliest instance of men and women using high heeled shoes came in the classical times. Around the 1500s, it was fashionable amongst men to use high heeled shoes. It all began with a need to prevent slipping f feet from the stirrups when riding. High heels were used for this. There was an increase in use of high heels by men which continued till the French Revolution. It again came up in the 1970’s and in the modern times also.
In 1533, it was during the wedding of Catherine de’ Medici with the Duke of Orleans that the first officially recorded instance of use of high heels was noted. She wore high heels to her wedding. But, in the late 18th century, a trend of lower heels came through. This was because of the French Revolution. High heels were associated with wealth and opulence during the revolution. Hence, to avoid this look of luxury, the use of heels was reduced and the heels were kept at bay in the markets.
What every woman loves and what almost every woman has would be a pair of high heels. Women all across the globe love high heeled shoes and high heeled pumps. This type of footwear raises the heel of the wearer to a height above the toes. This gives an illusion of the legs looking longer, more slender and more toned. High heels come in a large range of colors, material, etc, like the classic black heels, the chic white heels and also the spectacular red heels.

Boots have been used for many centuries especially for riding horses. In its early day boots were hand made and there were many different styles. The styles were dictated according to what country they came from. As far as cowboy boots go they were mainly influence by the Spanish vaquero style that goes back to 16th century. This style of cowboy boots is still used in Mexico by the ranchers.
When the industrial revolution came about in the 19th century, making of boots in large quantities became a reality. It was now easy to mass produce certain varieties of the boot and that was first done for the military. There was a design called the Hessian boot which was used by various cavalry forces in Europe and this style also ultimately influenced the cowboy boot. In the Early part of the 19th century cowboys were underpaid so a cheap style knows as the “Wellington” was manufactured for them.
But after the 1860’s the salary of cowboys rose because of the rise in price of meat. This enabled them to purchase more stylized and better quality boots than the Wellington, and after that it was only a matter of time before the Wellingtons became obsolete. It was during this time that the “classic” cowboy boot with a higher heel better stitching had come about.
This design change first happened in the American states of Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. As mentioned before cowboy boots were designed with horse riding in mind so the heels were generally smooth so as to be able to get on and ride horses easier. In the 20th century cowboy boots found their way to the wardrobes of people who had no intention of riding horses or being cowboys, that was when the cowboy boot became just another fashion accessory.
Boots nowadays are a very popular item and have gone through various changes over the decades, but the basic design concept remains unchanged. Cow boy boots are now rarely designed with cowboys in mind and all sorts of designs are available in the market especially with women in mind. One such example is the red cowboy boots and various other colored designs.

According to the internet one of the first mentions of bedroom slippers was about 1674. Be sure they have been with us much longer than that. When did they take on such magnitudes of silliness and ridiculous demeanor. I firmly place the blame on those trappers and hunters that left the bits of fuzz and fur around the edges. This was the start to what has now become an almost hysterical sensibility around bedroom and house apparel.
Now please, don’t get me wrong I like a faux fur clad foot covering as much as the next but sometimes it goes to far and at the wrong time. Say you have a romantic evening at home. Maybe order in some great food, open a bottle or two of your favorite beverage and then perhaps a movie. When you are pretty sure there will be no reason to go outside then its time to put on some comfy clothes some big sweat pants maybe an oversized tee an extra pair of socks and then out comes your better half in something sexy and massive plush red cartoon character bootie slippers. Now if you can keep yourself from laughing your doing pretty good. If you can completely pretend they don’t exist your just fine but like me you probably have to make what you think is a funny offhanded comment. And then thats it, its all over.
One evening as I was strolling about in New York Cities Bowery area I spied a small bar at the end of an alley way. It was dark and a bit foreboding but I could hear faint laughter and the high pitched banter of some ladies. My curiosity got the best of me and I headed on down to the end of this shadowy strip. As I approached the open air establishment I could smell something like a mixture of fruit maybe apricots and a hint of sulfur. When I got close enough to see the patrons of this unusual venue I noticed they were all wearing plush animal outfits except one girl. A Interestingly attractive young female in full body light blue fuzzy pajamas with attached bootie slippers was trying to place an order at the bar. I walked up next to her introduced myself and immediately asked what sort of a place this was. “Oh we just got done shooting a video come have a drink with us they don’t bite, usually, I promise.” Anyway she lied.
The situation in its entirety with the fuzzy slippers has really gotten me down. I just get irritated when I see people wearing those plush oversized slippers or really shoes with fur of any kind. Boots with some fur is all right they fit if the great out of doors. When I see someone with slippers I feeling like there may have been an emergency forcing them outside or maybe the are lost after walking in their sleep.
The present direction of footwear has been heading into this furry little tangent for a moment. All I can presently do is watch in horror and shake my head every time another friend is captivated by the bedroom slippers that have somehow made it outside. Sure they might be comfy and on some people anything would look good give them plastic bags to put over there slippers. Just because they look good on you doesn’t mean they are the perfect gift for your frumpy grandmother or your lumberjack boyfriend.

There are many snake boot companies to choose from whether shopping for snake boots online or in retail stores. Snake boots are quality footwear providing protection from fangs in deserts, swamps, or forests and because of this they are growing in popularity. Danner, Rocky, Irish Setter, Chippewa and La Crosse among others are companies that share commonalities making them good suppliers of snake boots.
These companies have been in the business of making boots for many years. They are experienced in keeping feet cool and comfortable in what amounts to leather armor with laces. Their experience in making work boots, hiking boots and other kinds of footwear translates into their ability to make good snake boots.
Even disregarding the fact that snake boots are thicker and heavier than other boots, snake boot companies add a broad range of features to maximize comfort and facilitate movement. One of these features is a notched sole which provides more bend and flex allowing for a more natural movement of the foot. This eliminates clunky feel of older style boots. Another nifty feature is the zip-up sides or speed lacing mechanisms that make changing into or out of the boots a breeze.
These snake boot companies design boots that are thicker, stronger, and resistant to a wide range of environments. When you’re shopping for specific types of boots, pay attention to what company you’re buying from because some companies have specialties. Some of these companies want to emphasize snake proof hunting boots, while others are going for desert snake boots. Which company suits your needs best is based on what you actually need from a pair.
If you have any questions about what snake protection is best, there are many online reviews that will help you find any information you want regarding appearance, durability, and performance. Above all else, these boots are designed to be thicker and stronger to make sure that no pit viper’s fangs get through the material and to your skin. Whether the boots are made for teenagers or adults, men or women, these snake boot companies know how to make a good piece of footwear that will protect you from some of nature’s most unwelcome surprises.
