Unless you are someone who people look up to everyday, you are a person who needs to have good pictures taken especially if you have the body to die for. But, for most of us who have weight problems, this might cause some problems. People with weight problems usually try to cover their bodies up when it comes to taking pictures.

A good example for a place where people often take pictures of you is a wedding. Weddings are the best place for you to flaunt your body but for those people with fat problem, it is time to hide as much fat as possible.

You begin to scheme out a plan for you to get back in shape before the wedding day. But, there is no such thing as a shortcut to getting in shape. You need to do it years or months before. So, the last thing you can do is to prevent yourself from being taken photos.

When it comes to weddings, most pictures are taken by amateur photographers and some of them are just your family or friends. Good thing is that you do not have to worry because the reason they are taking pictures is that they are capturing memories of the wedding and not your body.

However, a professional photographer might pose a problem. They might snap a picture of you showing your fat belly. But, a true professional would ask your permission when it comes to taking pictures and would rather discuss the angles with you.

Therefore, it is good for you to discuss the angles and pictures you want to be taken with your wedding photographer. Explain to him that you do not want any of your body fats emphasized with the results of the pictures.

You can even fool those who look at your picture with several poses and angles being suggested by your photographer.

People who actually believe that pictures make you look fatter are going to be proven wrong when you discuss things with your photographer. Change the way you stand and try to experiment on things and see which picture suits you and which pose takes the attention away from your weight.

Using Your Unique Style For Art

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

If you have some sort of creative or artistic style then the entertainment and arts industry is something that could be great for you to get into. Everyone in the world has some sort artistic side to them, and this would be a great way to express that.

It’s great to be able to get out and either perform or write or draw something and know that you can call it your own. You can look at it or think back on performing it and know that whenever people look at it that it’s all yours.

There’s a really good pride feeling that you get whenever people are talking about what you’ve created in a positive way. Not only that, but getting into art as a hobby is also good because it’s much more productive than just watching tv on the couch.

A lot of people in the world waste a lot of time doing things that are unproductive and don’t get them anywhere in life. The tv has really killed the productivity of modern society because so many people get caught up in and then never get anything done. Think about all of the things that you could get done if you were to take all the time you spend watching television and instead spend it doing something productive. You could spend your time painting pictures instead and maybe sell them at art gallerys and such. That would be a much better way to spend your time.

Many people do not have the right type of mindset to do something such as stopping watching tv and starting to write a book. There’s a certain type of mindset that’s required to do that and odds are you probably don’t currently have it.

The good thing though is that you can completely change your mindset in an instant. Most people do not understand that you have complete control over your mind, most people let there mind control them. If you can conquer your mind then you can do anything.

Tips On Learning How To Become A Celebrity In These Days At Home Or Abroad

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

How to become a celebrity is not taught at school. The secret has not been understood from the time of Cleopatra to this day. Some celebrities are born, some are made, some are completely impossible to explain, and some are inevitable.

Celebrities that are born to be that way would include Moses – he was famous from the time he floated into Pharaoh’s household – and Prince Charles, and Shirley Temple. It helps to have famous parents, if you can escape being so messed up by said fame that you never surface at all. Royalty is best, although that fame only seems to last until you are thirty, at which time you become invisible.

To get famous, you can marry someone already there, like Prince Charming. Would Cinderella have made the big time if she had gotten back to the scullery with both shoes? You can go on the Bachelor and mess around with other peoples lives, making them celebrities for a time as well. You can kill one or more people and get either brief renown or long lasting infamy. You can be Miss America and be in the bright lights for one year, but one year only.

‘Worst’ can get you in the household name category, too. Charles Manson, worst murder. He was so creepy, with his groupies and weirdly handsome persona, that he is still known after decades in prison. Worst memory – Goldie Hawn on, was it Laugh In?, when she would pop out to say a one liner and blow it every time.

Why is the gecko so popular, for instance? It is easy to see why the Budweiser horses are famous – they are gorgeous and gentle giants – but that other guy is so green. Remember the old lady who was looking for the beef? She was great, but who would have thought that would be the advertisement of the year, if not the decade?

Sometimes it’s calculated, like stars made by the Hollywood publicists. Sometimes it’s talent, like Elvis. Sometimes it’s inexplicable, like pet rocks and Beanie Babies. Sometimes it’s National Enquirer, where true and false seem to be irrelevant.

You can be so bad you are good press, as well. Charles Manson is still a prominent figure although he has been locked up for decades. Henry VIII is another example of bad behavior getting immortalized, as is Bluebeard and Jack the Ripper. No one ever said celebrity was all good.

Michael J. Fox was cast as a supporting actor for Family Ties and stole the lead in the first episode. We’ll never forget Fonzie of Happy Days, Farrah Fawcett in Charlie’s Angels, Secretariat and the Triple Crown, and Harrison Ford as Hans Solo. Who doesn’t love an overnight sensation like these?

Today we all have a big advantage – You Tubes. If you really want to be seen, a home video can do it for you. No waiting for discovery these days. Just blog or Facebook your way to as much recognition as you can get. It may or may not work, but it can be a lot of fun. And, of course, it can turn sour like other sorts of celebrity often does.

Celebrities don’t have to be Hollywood, of course. Local heroes save lives, survive shipwreck, fire, and flood, save kittens, donate millions, and feed the homeless. Catch the biggest fish, shoot the biggest deer, live the longest, eat the most – the possibilities are endless.

After all, how to become a celebrity is as easy as attracting the notice of the public. It can be a very big notice, or a small mention in the local weekly news. No matter – celebrity is its own reward.

Chance Pride At Arts Entertainment In America

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

America certainly has earned itself a reputation over the past few hundred years, has it not? It is known for being bold and brash, cutting edge and perhaps a bit dangerous, and expansive and expanding all over at once. But how has the reputation of arts entertainment in America held up?

The largeness of the country is a telling factor, in that everything from the place is seen as being huge. One great state alone, Texas, claims that everything is bigger there, and yet it is only one state of fifty neighbors. And when thinking of big and artistic, where is the home of the blockbuster film package deal? Hollywood, the trend setting capitol of the entire globe.

The so called film capitol of the world is, in actuality, a fairly small city. But as to the impact it has had over the years, it is tremendously huge. Everything about the film industry has been purposely designated with the most grandiose terms available. Everything is going to big, and bigger, then biggest. Look to the incomes to see where this attitude comes from, they are astronomical indeed. So is the cultural impact of cinema on the world over.

Television, too, produced in the same small city, is at once everywhere at the same time. The little screens with the big money are literally in almost every home now, on every continent. No place now are without the means of receiving TV signals, and regular viewing fare is reaching other cultures far removed form itself. For better or for worse, television guides cultural change all over the map now.

And what is media without music? The music industry in the States is also very prevalent, and not just for pop radio fare. Major cities sponsor major orchestras, American composers have created a sure niche for their styles of work, and even certain sates can be defined by their own unique sound. Detroit and Los Angeles come to mind in that regard. Some of the very best recording and performance facilities are between its shores.

As for those that are surely considered to be a true form of art, the masters of oil and acrylic, marble and bronze, portraiture and scenery, the States have museums that hold these dearly for us all. While all major metropolitan areas have museums filled with classical goodies, do not overlook the smaller towns and cities with their decidedly local flavor of what is to be put on display. From Picasso to peach baskets, and Van Gough to go carts, there is a museum devoted to it.

And finally, the lowly car can be considered. In this USA the car is not only a way of life, it is indeed a means of entertaining artistic impulses. Auto customizing began in the States, and continues its main fascination there. From paint jobs, engine modifications, custom upholstery, and radical redesigns and makeovers, mere cars are turned into objects of admiration for any connoisseur of cultural artifacts.

Arts entertainment in America is indeed huge. By the dint of sheer overwhelming numbers the film and television industries are world wide, the local music is global, and many other arts unique to the country are recognized everywhere.

Do you want to read subjects on arts entertainment? If you do, you will see that we have a lot of articles that can help you find out about art and much more. We make finding out possible online and easy to do on the net.

A Look At The Most Consistently Great MLB Starting Pitchers Entering 2010

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

It has been more than two months since the World Series finished up and, of course, that means there is nothing going on with that sport right now since the next season will not start for a couple of months.

With that in mind, there are lots of articles that I have written all about this game. Right now, I am going to talk about five pitchers who I think are currently some of the best ones in the sport of baseball right now.

Here are my top five as I see them. Feel free to agree or disagree, and I’d love to see you share your thoughts if you have a different opinion.

Zack Greinke had the best season in baseball for a pitcher last year, but he still needs another great season or two under his belt before he can move up on this list. Still, Greinke is one of the most dangerous pitchers in baseball and has a bright future ahead.

In the #4 spot is Roy Halladay, known for always being a very reliable pitcher. In the future, Halladay will no doubt be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Christ Carpenter holds the #3 place on this list as he always manages to be extraordinary. When he returned from almost two seasons of being away from baseball, it was like he had never been gone. I do believe that Carpenter just might be better than he has ever been previously.

The #2 spot goes to Johan Santana. It doesn’t matter that he has not received a Cy Young award since coming on board with the Mets; he consistently contributes to a very good season every year. This is why Santana is at the #2 spot.

The #1 spot on my list definitely goes to Tim Lincecum. He has dominated this sport for two years now and is without a doubt the pitcher who is best at getting strikeouts. WOW is the word that comes to mind when I think about Lincecum’s ERA in the twos!

In addition to baseball, the writer also frequently gives advice on modern arc floor lamps and contemporary mini pendant lighting.

Top Live Bands To Witness Performing Live

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Music is one of my great passions and I like nothing more than going to see my favorite bands live in concert. I’ve seen many once; others frequently and still have a list of must sees.

If you are a concert lover like me, you may well live somewhere that is blessed with many live performances by artists of every genre. Here are just a few recommendations of artists I think you would enjoy seeing.

A group which hails from Kentucky is my first choice; make sure you go and see Mt Morning Jacket if you get the chance. Their rock roots are very southern but have a modern sound with the addition of electronic instruments.

If you want to see a young band that displays pure energy and gives their all in every performance, then you will love them. On lead vocals is the charismatic Jim James who holds the audience in his hand as if they are hypnotized.

Do not think that a concert by a piano player is boring; it is anything but when the pianist in question is Ben Folds. His shows are outstanding and I have never seen any other pianist put on such shows.

Folds doesn’t merely play the piano, he is at one with it. There is debate as to whether he is the fastest pianist in the world; I’ve never seen anything as quick. And his inventive use of props just adds to the magic. A Ben Folds show is like no other.

My last choice is a band you will have heard, but if you haven’t yet seen them get yourself there at the first opportunity. A pearl Jam show is like no other.

This band makes more effort for the fans than any other I’ve known. They keep their ticket prices down so everyone can have a chance to see them live. Whether you like their older stuff or the new material, you will get everything played with great energy.

Aside from concerts, this writer also regularly blogs about wool area rug and braided area rugs.

The Tremendous Consistency By Albert Pujols

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

There are many questions and debates that keep rearing their heads during discussions and the main ones are about sports. One of the most common ones is regarding Albert Pujols and whether or not he is the best ever at hitting the ball.

So that we all know who I’m talking about, I’m not going to go to players from days gone by, only from the 1980 onwards.

Going back even further doesn’t give a very fair debate, as the whole nature of the game was different; equipment and fields etc. Ok, Willie Mays and Ted Williams were great in their day; to compare them with Pujols is unfair to all three of them.

Would Albert Pujols have been so formidable in a different era? How would Ted Williams have played in today’s game? These questions are unanswerable, so let’s just look at what Pujols has going for him in the modern game.

To start with, there is a possibility he can still improve as he doesn’t hit 30 until his next birthday. His consistency has been second to none; few players can boast that they have turned out every week and played like Pujols has, let’s check out a few of his statistics.

His career average could win a league all on its own. In the second season he played in, he hit a career low average of .312, his worse since has been .327 and his overall average is .334. This is a staggering average whichever way you look at it.

Pujols is an MLB player and has now played 9 seasons in this league. During 5 of those he has hit 40 home runs. The lowest amount he has ever hit in a season is 32; this is an outstanding stat by anyone’s standards.

As every new season starts, we hold our breath to see if Pujols can maintain his stunning form, and he never lets us down. Is he the greatest hitter of our generation? That we can only answer when he finishes playing, but I wouldn’t bet against him.

Number One Strength In The Tennis World

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

As tennis continues to grow its fans and players will always be arguing on what determines a good player and which skills are the most important to have.

It can be fun considering the different perspectives and opinions of the many arguments that evolve from the different aspects of the game.

I have listed a few elements to consider. Which do you think are important?

What about volleying? A game that it going too smoothly can become a disadvantage for opponents as point may easily be lost. Just take a look back at players of the past such as John McEnroe.

Many tennis buffs would argue that the modern game favors baseline play over the net. After all, look at the dominance of Rafael Nadal from the back of the court. Even players like Andy Roddick, who once spent more time at the net, are recently favoring the baseline and opting for ground strokes.

Any player with a powerful serve can easily take control of the court if their opponent is unable to break them and this will give them an overall advantage. Take Roddick as a good example of a big serve.

How about speed though? Guys like Nadal can get to just about every ball, making it extremely difficult for their opponents to win points. The harder your opposition has to work for a point, the more unforced errors you’ll ultimately cause.

The last factor is the x-factor, and the one that I personally feel matters most. This is the mental game. The superstars like Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have some of the toughest mental games in the history of the sport.

You will hardly ever see either of these two stars become flustered or overexcited. They have the mental focus to remain composed throughout the game.
