Pump Paintball Guns – Going Old School

Have you ever encountered the term Pump Paintball Gun? If you’re one of the people who play this kind of sport, surely you’ve already heard this type of equipment. It is actually one of the first ever guns, now called “paintball markers” to be more politically correct, to be used for the game of paintball.

But what is the difference though? What has changed? Certainly equipments for the game, especially the markers have improved through time. Markers are modified and remodeled making it easier to use and convenient for the players of the game. Providing variety of weapons to use to give users options that would suit each of them, and also in a way make the game more interesting and inviting.

A pump paintball gun is arguably the first ever paintball gun made and used for the game. It’s a single-shot at a time type of gun which was initially used during the early days of the sport.

Other paintball markers known are Stock Paintball Guns, Semi-Auto Paintball Guns, and Electric Paintball Guns. The difference mainly lies on the amount of paintballs each marker can load and t their speed on releasing or shooting. Take for example a Stock Paintball Gun can hold up to 20-40 paintball rounds, whereas a Semi-automatic Paintball Gun can shoot 20 paintballs per second. And lastly, the Electric Paintball Gun which is said to be faster than the two since it is electrically triggered.

So with the availability of these new models of markers, why then use the old type pump paintball gun? In various games nowadays, whether in amateur and professional divisions, players of the sport don’t actually use this kind of marker anymore. Mainly for the lack of availability of this type of gun in the market, pump paintball guns may be classified as vintage and thus not always readily available for selling. But to those who already have this type of marker at their homes, they find it more engaging to use this in their games, since it would definitely require a lot of skill and well thought technique to win, especially when your opponents are using the more updated versions of markers. It also gives an additional level of difficulty that players could enjoy. Moreover, using pump paintball guns today is like bringing back the times, times when it was firstly created and played.

Indeed, paintball is one of the far growing sports of the time. Becoming infamous to different countries nowadays, developing various types of guns or markers for the game is quite inevitable. But going back to the olden ways surely won’t hurt and using the old equipments such as the pump paintball gun would actually be a diversion on how the game is usually played. People might even find it enjoyable and more challenging and with that maybe it can be available to stores once again.

Setting Up Paintball Bunkers on Your Field

If you love playing war games, you may want to take your games to the next level. Now, that does not mean that you want to go out and buy a real gun and start shooting people left right and center. It means that you may want to introduce yourself to a game called paintball. There are many things in a game of paintball; the guns are just one of them. If you are not playing in an open forest or field, and are, instead setting up a combat zone in your back yard, you may want to consider getting paintball bunkers.

There is a lot you can do in the game of paintball, and the one most important things that you need, if you are setting up a combat zone in your back yard, are a few paintball bunkers. You may be wondering why you will need paintball bunkers – they are to hide behind of course.

Now, you could try to play a game of paintball without any bunkers, but that will just be a few people standing in front of each other shooting one another with paintballs – it does not make for a very entertaining game of paintball.

This is why it is important for you to have paintball bunkers. Now, there is a way for you to have a game of paintball without the bunkers, and that is to set the game up in an open forest where the trees are you barriers. The advantage to this is there is literally no building on your part. The disadvantage is of course you don’t get that battlefield feel as you would with tree forts and ditches.

When building your own paintball field the possibilities are endless. You can build a speedball field or woodsball field. The key to making a woodsball field is to work with the features of your property, and balance both sides of the playing field. To make the games shorter it is important to section of the field too, so there is a limited playing ground (that way you don’t spend hours finding the last player).

When you have a private paintball game at your home you can easily use this for a bachelor party or the paintball can make a great game for when you have a party or barbeque. It is lots of fun for all.

Bottom line is, every field needs good paintball bunkers to be complete. You can either learn how to make paintball bunkers, or find some cheap paintball bunkers.

Paintball – Benefits Of Using HPA To Power Your Paintball Marker

Many of us start out with paintball guns that are cheaper. Just as a sixteen year old will often start out with a cheaper car instead of a brand new BMW, many new paintballers start with a more affordable gun.

Less expensive markers will often use CO2, a power source that will work fine in most cases, but for those who want all the edge they can get to become a better paintballer, it is inferior to HPA (High Pressure Air).

Making the switch to compressed air (aka HPA) is a great idea for paintballers that want to have the best performance. Improved performance is the main reason for switching.

For anyone that has shot a paintball marker at a high rate of fire for a longer period of time, you know how much consistency from shot to shot drops. The paintballs begin to fly at shorter distances, which makes it difficult to hit your target.

CO2 has difficulty expanding fast enough from liquid to gas when you are shooting fast. No one wants to have their paintballs fly at unpredictable distances when they are trying to hit a target.

In cold weather, CO2 really is a pain in the neck. Anyone who plays in cold weather often should definitely make the switch if they want consistency. HPA stays consistent in cold weather.

Your gun can sometimes “freeze up” when you are unloading the paint in cold weather. The liquid literally freezes the inside of your gun and wrecks its performance, sometimes even causing it to stop working until it can unfreeze.

When it is cold out, your marker may start shooting out what looks like to be snow. It can also make a cloud shoot out or your marker and tank to become extremely cold.

CO2 exists in both gas and liquid. In the case of most paintball markers, liquid is bad and when it gets in the gun it will cause poor performance. HPA tanks are nothing but compressed air, so there is no liquid, and no problems during rapid fire.

So, if you are a paintballer that wants the best performance they can get from his marker, investing in a compressed air tank is a must.

Paintball: One Pump And Bam!

One of the world’s most exciting outdoor participation sports to date is the sport known as paintball. Paintball is a sport that is played, enjoyed, and shared by all the generations. It is a sport that is played in over forty countries by millions of men, women, and children, with varying background. But the one thing in common with all of these people is the love for fun, adventure, and their strong competitive spirits.

Nowadays, when the game is played, there are more than enough guns and accessories to chose from. But the real way to go or play is by using the presently elusive pump paintball guns. Those babies are the relics of the past that are being brought back into the game today. They’re the way the game was once played, and in the opinion of some, the way the game should be played.

In most games today, the semi-automatic and automatic paintball guns are the favored choice of players. While a rapid-fire gun or marker could be used to mark where a target is for a comrade to spot and help take out, the single shot pump paintball gun would force the player to pay close attention to his or her surroundings.

There are many places all over the country that one can find paintball supplies, but very few of these actually sell those toys of old, those pump paintball guns. The Fundamentals of Paintball: Play Hard And Have Some Fun

If you are the form of someone who enjoys action movies and would like to experience the thrill of shooting a person, then you’ll see that playing paintball is the right variety of hobby for you. It is a fun sport that’s also fast-paced as well as exciting that everybody will love playing. It will grant you lots of action and also that adrenaline rush that you always would like to experience.

The fantastic thing about paintball is that it can be played by anyone. If you are a young woman or a man, you are able to play this activity game. In paintball, you also need to have protection for your eyes as well as for your body. You need to remember that the paintball is propelled at high speeds and when it hits, it will hit hard. It can even hurt or sting a bit if it hits your bare skin. The eye protection equipment uses acrylic plastic lens and a rubber strap. For protecting the face, you will need a mask. This covers the front of your face as well as your ears.

Belt packs are also considered to be all important as it will be able to let you hold additional accessories minus the hassle. The sight is also considered by many as important as it will help you aim more accurately. In paintball, there are certain rules that you need to follow. The first is that you should always keep your protective gears on at all times during the game. Holding off the goggles or the mask are a big no-no in the game. Knowing the limitations of the gun is also requirement in playing the game. Generally, shooting at a point blank range is a no-no. If you do catch your opponent at this range, you just have to point the gun at them and tap them on the shoulder or tell them that you marked them.

You also need to remember that this is an honesty game. If you get hit, exit the game or just play dead. Even if the shooter didn’t know you got hit because of the distance, you still need to be honest about it. Sometimes, you won’t know if you got hit or not due to the chaos of the fire fight. If this happens, don’t just quit yet and let the referee determine if you got hit or not. The last rule of the game is to enjoy it and have fun playing it. These are the basics of paintball. Why Watch A Movie When You Can Play Paintball?

Paintball rocks my socks off. I don’t say that often, but in the case of paintball I wholeheartedly love to play it. It is such a thrilling sport to play, but is it more thrilling than a movie or video game? In this article I’ll briefly compare paintball vs. movies and video games.

This extreme sport is an extreme rush to play. Take the edge-of-your-seat feeling of a good action movie, subtract the violence, the explosions, the movie stars, and everything else besides the edge-of-your-seat feeling and that’s how I feel when I’m playing a paintball game.

While you are trying to eliminate other players by hitting them with a paintball, you aren’t trying to kill them like in war. It is a friendly competition sport and the idea is comparable to games like dodge ball, or laser tag, except instead of trying to hit opponents with a ball or laser, you are trying to tag them with a paintball.

It’s awesome to watch a movie with a realistic sound system and high definition TV, or play a video game with realistic graphics and feel like you are actually in the video game, but nothing will ever replace the realism of real life experiences. I would much rather experience the action found in a paintball game in real life, then to watch a movie or play a “realistic” video game.

There’s no violence in paintball, it isn’t like the movies or video games where blood, guts, and killing are common. It offers a real life competitive experience that is better than playing a video game.

If you want to simulate war, paintball has scenario games where hundreds to thousands of paintball players get together and pretend like they are in war, except in this simulated war, no one dies.

While I do like to watch movies and play video games, the real life thrill and excitement I experience in paintball is much more appealing to me than sitting in a chair watching a movie, or exercising my thumbs playing a video game.

Let The Best Paintball Players Be Your Guide

To me there is nothing more fun than going out and playing paintball. It’s intense, fun, filled with action, and when the day is done it leaves me feeling great and a little more experienced. If you are here reading this, you probably feel the same way.

When picking for teams, the more experienced, better players are most likely to be picked before anyone else. When you are first starting paintball, you don’t have any experience, but once you are past your first game, you will have one games experience under your belt. The really good people will have hundreds or even thousands of games under their belt and lots of paintball tips stored in their head.

There is one way, however to accelerate your skill level faster, and become a better paintball player without having as much game experience as other paintball players.

Mirror them and let them be your paintball guide. Take what works for them and use it for yourself. They have become good paintball players by making mistakes and playing a lot. Trial and error teaches us what doesn’t work and what does.

Making mistakes and learning from them builds experience and makes you a better paintball player. To accelerate your learning time and become a better paintball player faster, let someone that is experienced be your paintball guide and learn from the mistakes that they have made.

If you get into a conversation with a good player you can tell them something like, “I had trouble in that last game, (insert what you think you did wrong or what happened here).” They most likely have been in similar situations and may give you a few paintball tactics to help you do better in the next game.

Take advantage of what they know and learn from them as you would a paintball guide. Learning from them will help you become a more skilled paintball player faster.

Paintball Is The Coolest Sport

If you are looking for an exciting new hobby or sport to take up I encourage you to take a look at paintball. There are so many reasons why I think it is the greatest sport I’ve ever played, but for the sake of time, in this article I’ll give you just a few.

Most of us as kids played tag or dodgeball growing up. Many people have played laser tag as well. Paintball can be described as an extreme version of tag, dodgeball, or laser tag. Imagine how much fun you had playing those games as a youngster, now take that times one hundred and that’s how I feel when I’m playing paintball.

Paintball is full of action. If your heart isn’t racing while you are playing, you better go to the Doctor and get checked because only a zombie could play it without getting excited.

I’ve seen it many times before, a complete beginner to paintball eliminating a player with years of experience. It doesn’t matter how long you have played, you can always get eliminated by people that appear to have no athletic ability or are complete beginners. This sport is very beginner friendly as at most paintball fields you will find games containing players with all levels of experience.

One of the best parts of this extreme sport is that there are hundreds of different paintball markers that you can pick from. Want one that pumps? Or maybe you want an electronic one that can unleash a hail storm of paint. Whatever you want, you can find or customize your gear exactly the way you want.

Paintball is a great sport that is lots of fun to play. While playing you get a rush of excitement and after the game your face should be all smiles. Many of us played tag growing up. This sport can be called an extreme version of tag. Anyone that gets involved in this sport can create and play with their dream marker.

An Intro to Playing Paintball

Finding a game that the whole family can enjoy during the summer time is not an easy task. However, if you looked at combat games you will find paintball is one of the only games that can be played by the whole family, young and old. Now, you will obviously not have grandpa running around with a paintball gun trying to catch the younger people with paintballs. You could always make grandpa the general so that he could make up the game plays.

Paintball is a game of strategy, kind of like chess, so not only does it test your ability to think under pressure, it pushes you to practice visual-strategics before each mach. This is an essential skill to learn in life – it goes along with the whole “see it and achieve it” mindset. Another aspect that is really great about this game, is that your can have an infinite number of players taking on an infinite number of challenges or game variants. This alone makes every weekend of play new and challenging.

If you come across a paintball game at a fair or carnival then you will probably not be playing the full version and you will only have a short amount of time to get your opponent covered in paint. When you go to a paintball course you will find that you have a huge area to play in and it is usually set in a forest type of setting which makes it more realistic as if you were in the army.

If you want to make it a game that will last for a few hours, just like a true battle, you will need to have a large team of people, or if people are few in numbers, simply give each player a limited number of lives.

As you search for something fun to do with the family or your friends you can easily check out the paintball places nearby and hopefully you can join some teams or make your own team for a great afternoon game that you can enjoy each weekend.

To make this game a bit longer, you could give each team five flags, with the objective of the game being to capture the other all of the other team’s flags.

Paintball – Why Compressed Air Is Superior To CO2

This article will tell you a little about CO2 and the problems that can happen when using it. While it is inferior to compressed air, it is more affordable. Compressed air is much more dependable.

CO2 works fine for many paintballers, and thus they don’t opt for the more expensive power source, HPA. While HPA is more consistent it is also more expensive

In cold weather CO2 can be lots of trouble. Problems such as inconsistency, sputtering, choking, shooting snow, gun getting cold, tank getting cold, and your gun “freezing up” are what you can experience while using it.

Most of these problems generally occur when you are shooting fast. When you are unloading paint at a target, you especially don’t want anything to affect your accuracy.

Inside of your tank it exists as both a gas and a liquid. The gas works best for powering your gun, while the liquid causes the problems. As the gas is shot, the liquid will turn into gas. When you are shooting fast, the liquid will have a hard time changing to gas fast enough, especially in cold weather that it will go into your gun.

The problems that occur from liquid entering your gun can greatly hinder your consistency. You may notice your paintballs begin to travel shorter and shorter when you are firing rapidly.

As you can see, when you are trying to hit a target, inconsistent velocity can make it extremely difficult to ht a target. There are times when you need to shoot fast, and when doing so, it makes it difficult to effectively shoot fast when each shot goes shorter.

So what can you use that won’t give you problems with consistency? Compressed air (also called HPA) is a superior alternative. It works much better in paintball guns, is more consistent and isn’t hindered by cold weather.
